Nils Erling Yndesdal, born on December 22, 1959, is a Norwegian politician and civil servant. He served as fylkesmiljøvernsjef in Sogn og Fjordane for 19 years and became the kommunaldirektør at Fylkesmannen in Vestland from January 1, 2019. He was the mayor of Leikanger municipality from 1995 to 1999 and chaired Sognekraft AS from 1997 to 1999. Originally from Nittedal, he has lived in Hermansverk since 1985. Yndesdal is married and has three children.
