Nikon was ordained a deacon on November 21, 1993, and a priest on January 23, 1994. He took monastic vows in 1997 and was consecrated as a bishop in the same year. He passed away on September 18, 2002, and is buried in the church of St. Michael and Theodore in Chernihiv.
