Niko Samadashvili was a Georgian poet born on July 19, 1905, in Khidistavi, Tbilisi Governorate. Despite being recognized as a significant poet by contemporaries like Geronti Kikodze and Galaktion Tabidze, none of his poems were published during his lifetime. His first collection was released posthumously in 1989. He faced persecution and poverty throughout his life and lived in Borjomi, where he taught. His initial poems were published in 1967 and his first collection 'Bethania' appeared in 1973, with more works released in the 1980s.
