Nicușor Eșanu is a retired Romanian canoeist born on December 12, 1954, in Bucharest. He competed in the 1970s and 1980s, participating in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where he finished fourth in the K-4 1000 meters event. Eșanu won a silver medal at the 1980 Moscow Olympics in the same event, teaming with Mihai Zafiu, Vasile Dîba, and Ion Geantă. He also achieved notable success at the World Championships in flatwater racing, earning a total of six medals between 1975 and 1981, including one gold, three silvers, and two bronzes.
