Nico de Jaeger was a Dutch politician born on December 16, 1939, in Bergen op Zoom. He served as chairman of the CNV district in North Brabant and was a member of the municipal council in Eindhoven. In November 1985, he became the mayor of Rijsbergen. A labor union advocate, he campaigned for higher wages but acted as a cost-cutting employer in administrative roles. His tenure as mayor ended when Rijsbergen merged with Zundert on January 1, 1997. He passed away at the age of 59 on July 19, 1998.
