Ngawang Künga Thegchen Pelbar (1945) was the 41st abbot of the Sakya Monastery and the Sakya Thridzin of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism from 1951 to 2017. He founded the Sakya College in Rajpur, Himachal Pradesh, India, where the traditions of the Sakya Monastery are continued. His leadership played a significant role in preserving and propagating Sakya Buddhist teachings.
