The name 'Otogi Nekomu' translates from Japanese to mean 'Sleeping Cat', stemming from the words 'Otogi' (fairy tale) and 'Nekomu' (sleeping cat). She began her career in modeling, appearing in Young Jump in 2015 and later on the cover of Young Gangan in 2016. Otogi married manga artist Kosuke Fujishima in June 2016 and welcomed her first child in July 2016.
