Ndidi Nwosu (6 June 1979 – 1 March 2020) was a Nigerian powerlifter known for her remarkable success in the sport. She won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio, lifting an impressive 140 kilograms. Nwosu became a professional powerlifter in 2008 and continued to excel, winning gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Australia. Unfortunately, she sustained a serious spinal injury during this event, which required multiple surgeries and ultimately hindered her ability to compete thereafter.
