Naseer Ahmad Faruqui (1906-1991) was a distinguished civil servant in Pakistan and formerly in British India. He came from a scholarly family and joined the Indian Civil Service in 1931, serving in key roles across Sindh and Bombay. After Pakistan's independence, he continued his service, notably as Secretary to the Governments of Sindh and West Punjab, and as Chief Election Commissioner. He played a vital role in relocating Pakistan's capital to Islamabad and was the first chairman of the Capital Development Authority. Faruqui was also involved with the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement and authored several notable publications.
