Naotada Akahoshi (April 17, 1902 - March 11, 1991) was a prominent Japanese archaeologist, historian, folklorist, and local history researcher during the Taisho and Showa periods. Despite not being affiliated with any research institutions, he published nearly 500 papers and founded the Yokosuka Archaeological Society. Akahoshi primarily focused on archaeological studies in Kanagawa Prefecture, contributing significantly to the understanding of the Miura Peninsula's archaeological heritage. His research spanned various subjects, including classifications of Jomon pottery and investigations of Yayoi and Kofun period sites.
