Nan Gindele, born Ferdinanda Gindele in Chicago, was an American javelin thrower who achieved notable success in her sport during the early 20th century. She competed in the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles, finishing in fifth place. Gindele set a world record on June 18, 1932, in Chicago with a throw of 46.745 meters, which stood for ten years. In 1933, she became the U.S. champion in javelin throwing.
