Nahiko Tsukigata (May 22, 1923 – August 16, 2006) was a prominent Japanese potter and the founder of the Kishino school. He was an influential figure in modern Mino pottery during its early stages through to maturity. Tsukigata was known as the 'potter of fire' and created exceptional works in pottery, painting, calligraphy, sculpture, and seal carving. He is recognized as part of the second generation of artisans following Toyozou Arakawa, and he passed away in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, where Shino ware was born, at the age of 84.
