Nagarajan Vittal (31 January 1938 – 4 August 2023) was a prominent Indian civil servant best known for his role as the central vigilance commissioner. He served in various senior positions in the Indian government for over 35 years, with a focus on industrial administration, science and technology, and security. Vittal was also involved in public-private sector collaborations. In recognition of his contributions, he received the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, India's third highest civilian honor, in 2012.
