Myrna A. Phillips is a Canadian politician from Manitoba, born in November 1942. She served as a member of the Legislative Assembly from 1981 to 1988 and was the speaker from 1986 to 1988. Before her political career, she was involved in feminist organizations and community programs. Elected as an NDP representative, she became speaker amid controversies surrounding her predecessor. After her political career, Phillips worked with the National Democratic Institute in Palestine and returned to the civil service, retiring in 2001. She has been active in law reform initiatives in Manitoba.
