Myles Peter Carpenter Rudge (8 July 1926 – 10 October 2007) was an English songwriter recognized for his novelty song lyrics. His works include the top chart hits 'The Hole in the Ground' and 'Right Said Fred', both recorded by Bernard Cribbins in 1962. He also wrote 'A Windmill in Old Amsterdam', a hit for Ronnie Hilton in 1965, which won the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Novelty Composition in 1966.
