Mvula ya Nangolo (1943–2019) was a prominent Namibian journalist and poet, born in Oniimwandi and raised in Lüderitz and Windhoek. He joined the SWAPO independence movement at 18, later studying journalism in Germany. He became the first editor of 'Namibia Today' and served as a Special Advisor in the Namibian government. His poetry reflects a deep connection to the Namibian landscape and culture. He passed away in 2019 due to stroke complications.
