Mustafa A.G. Abushagur is a Libyan academic and politician born in 1951 in Gharyan, Libya. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Libya under Abdurrahim El-Keeb from November 22, 2011. Abushagur is the founder of the Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai and an expert in electrical engineering, with significant contributions in various optical research fields. He has published numerous research papers and has multiple patents. After opposing Qaddafi's regime, he became Libya's second Prime Minister following the 2011 revolution, winning office by a narrow margin.
