Munehiko Shimada (born February 17, 1962) is a former professional baseball player from Arida, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. He played as a catcher and later worked as a coach. Notably, he was a gold medalist in baseball at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. His younger brother, Akihiro Shimada, is also a former professional baseball player who played as a pitcher and outfielder. The brothers joined the Hanshin Tigers together in 1985 and continued to be associated with the team even after their retirements.
