Mun-hŭi Yi (이문희, 1932 - 1990) was a South Korean novelist born on October 2, 1932, in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do, and passed away on October 7, 1990. He made his literary debut in 1957 with the short story 'The Poetry of the Rainy Season' in the magazine 'Hyun-Dae Mun-Hak.' One of his notable works is 'Black Barley,' which was adapted into a film in 1965.
