Muhoozi Kainerugaba is a Ugandan military officer born on April 24, 1974. He is a general in the Uganda People's Defence Force and leads the Special Forces Command, which includes the Presidential Guard Brigade responsible for ensuring the safety of Uganda's president and constitutional kings. He was appointed to this position on December 16, 2020, by President Yoweri Museveni, having previously held the role from 2008 to 2017. Muhoozi also serves as a senior presidential advisor for special operations since 2017 and is the son of President Museveni.
