Major General Mubdar Hatim al-Dulaimi (January 2, 1951 – March 6, 2006) was an Iraqi army officer who served as the commander of all Iraqi Army forces in Baghdad. He was a key figure in efforts to prevent sectarian violence after the Al Askari Mosque bombing. Dulaimi was among the earliest and most significant officers in the new Iraqi army divisions created by U.S. forces. He was killed by a sniper while driving through western Baghdad amidst rising tensions between Sunni and Shia communities.
