Morris Weitz (July 24, 1916 – November 1, 1981) was an American aesthetic theorist who earned his PhD from the University of Michigan. Throughout his career, he taught at Vassar College, Ohio University, and Brandeis University. He was married to Margaret Weitz, a notable scholar in French studies, and their son, Richard Weitz, is also an academic with a prominent position at the Houston Institute.
