He primarily authored popular novels and period dramas, contributing significantly to the literary scene. His involvement included founding the 'Detective Writer's Club' in 1949 and producing works like 'Asakawa Monzō's Cases' and 'The Black Gate Town's Den Shichi.' Renowned for his research on Yamaga Sokō and the Ako samurai, he published several notable books. Sasaki passed away on December 10, 1983, at the age of 77 due to acute heart failure.
