Mori Masao (March 30, 1921 – December 23, 1996) was a Japanese Oriental scholar and historian known for his specialization in Turkish ethnic history, Central Asian history, and Turkish studies. He served as a professor at the University of Tokyo and was recognized with the Order of the Rising Sun, Second Class. Additionally, he was a member of the Japan Academy, contributing significantly to the fields of Oriental studies and history.
