He is an expert in parliamentary affairs and held the position of Secretary General of the new Al-Wafd Party. Additionally, he is a former board member of the Egyptian Stock Exchange and the National Council for Human Rights. He was also a member of the Board of Directors at the Center for Research and Studies on Developing Countries, and has experience in the food market through Vitrec Food Industries.
