Mohammad Osama Marashi was a Syrian physician, lexicographer, and university lecturer, born in Aleppo on January 25, 1944. He graduated in 1970 with a degree in Medicine from Damascus University, later specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in the UK. He returned to Aleppo as a specialist and consultant. Marashi founded Dar Al-Shifa Hospital in 1981 and Al-Marashi Hospital in 1988. He was a lecturer in a health institute from 1994 to 1997. He lived in Aleppo until 2012, then moved to Egypt, where he passed away on May 15, 2020.
