Miyavi, born Takamasa Ishihara on September 14, 1981, is a Japanese singer, actor, songwriter, composer, and record producer. He began his artistic career in 1999 as a guitarist in a visual kei band. After the band disbanded, he pursued a solo career starting in 2002. In 2007, he joined the famous Japanese rock band .S.K.I.N. and in 2009, he established his own company, J-Glam. Miyavi has performed worldwide, showcasing his talent in over 200 shows.
