Miroslav Salava was a Czech poet and visual artist born on January 14, 1960, in Prague. He worked as a librarian at the National Library from 1983 until his death in 2016. Salava made his literary debut in 1989 with a samizdat anthology titled 'Básně' alongside co-authors Bohdan Chlíbec, Pavel Kolmačka, and Evald Murrer. His first official published work was the poetry collection 'Mé baroko' released in 1995.
