Miķelis Bukšs (1912 — 1977) was a prominent Latgalian writer and cultural figure known for his contributions to literature and linguistics. He was born in the Plešovys area and moved to Sweden in 1944. Bukšs served as the chief editor of the journal Dzeive and was involved in the editorial work of Acta Latgalica from 1965 to 1977. His notable works include history of Latgalian literature, a biography of Francs Kemps, a grammar of the Latgalian language, and Latgalian themes. His writing helped shape the cultural landscape of Latgale.
