Mike Taylor, born on March 12, 1968, is a British computer programmer and paleontologist with a Ph.D. in paleobiology. He has published 18 papers on fossils and is credited with naming three dinosaur genera: Sinopliosaurus in 2007 with Darren Naish, Brontomerus in 2011 with Matt Wedel and Richard Cifeli, and Haestasaurus in 2015 with Paul Upchurch and Phil Mannion. He co-founded the blog Sauropod Vertebra Picture of the Week with paleontologists Darren Naish and Matt Wedel, where he contributed.
