Mikael Wiström is a Swedish director, film producer, screenwriter, and cinematographer born on December 2, 1950, in Stockholm. He studied directing at the Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm from 1979 to 1981 and then began working as a freelance filmmaker. He has also taught at the Dramatiska Institutet and worked as a journalist. Wiström is the owner of Månharen Film & TV and won two awards for Best Documentary Film for his film Familia in 2010.
