Miha Petrič was a Slovenian general and lieutenant general, born on September 25, 1924, in Gumnišče. Before World War II, he worked on a family farm. He joined the Partisan movement in 1941 and became a significant figure in the resistance, serving in various roles including as a battalion commander and operational officer. After the war, he held key military positions, including chief of staff in Ljubljana and commander on the Yugoslavian-Albanian border. He graduated from military academy in Belgrade in 1954 and held several important posts in the JLA.
