Miha Janc is a Slovenian microbiologist and veterinarian, honored professor at the University of Ljubljana, and one of the founding fathers of microbiology studies in Slovenia. Born on July 8, 1937, in Ljubljana, he graduated from the Veterinary Department of the Biotechnical Faculty. He has contributed significantly to the field, particularly in the diagnosis of rabies and bacterial infections in animals. Janc also participated in research in the USA and developed innovative diagnostic methods. After early retirement in 1999 due to health issues, he continues to reside in Dolenja vas.
