Miguel Maria N'Zau Puna is an Angolan politician and military leader. He co-founded UNITA in 1966, a rebel group opposing the MPLA during the Angolan Civil War. He served as Secretary-General of UNITA from 1968 to 1989 and held the position of Minister of the Interior. In 1992, he defected to the MPLA after denouncing UNITA leader Jonas Savimbi for alleged political murders. Following his defection, he became Deputy Minister of Territory Administration from 1997 to 1999, and later served as Angola's ambassador to Canada from 2000 to 2008, while also being a deputy in the National Assembly.
