Miguel Ángel Alemán Eslava was an Argentine clergyman born on October 2, 1922, in Buenos Aires. He was ordained as a priest for the Salesians on October 26, 1950. On April 8, 1968, he was appointed titular bishop of Puppi and auxiliary bishop of Viedma by Pope Paul VI. He was consecrated bishop on June 29, 1968. Eslava served as the Apostolic Administrator of Viedma from April 8, 1968, to April 4, 1975, and was appointed bishop of Río Gallegos on April 5, 1975.
