Mick Burrs, born Steven Michael Berzensky in April 1940, was a Canadian poet notable for his works in poetry and his editorship at Grain magazine. He left California to escape the Vietnam War, later residing in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He received the Saskatchewan Book Award for his collected works in 1998 for 'Variations on the Birth of Jacob' and published 'The Names Leave the Stones: Poems New and Selected' in 2001/2002. Burrs passed away on April 20, 2021, shortly after his 81st birthday.
