Michio Fujisawa (April 14, 1933 - September 30, 2001) was a Japanese historian specializing in Italian history and literature. Born in Kyoto, he graduated from Kyoto University in 1957 and completed his doctoral studies in linguistics. He served as a professor at Momoyama Gakuin University, becoming an emeritus professor after retirement. Initially a Marxist, he translated works of Antonio Gramsci before focusing on Renaissance Italian history, co-editing the complete works of Machiavelli, for which he was awarded the Pico della Mirandola Prize.
