Born in 1926, he fled wartime Poland, served as a tank driver in World War II, and emigrated to the U.S. where he became a citizen. He worked for IBM before founding Datronics and later joined Scantron as Executive VP, holding several OMR patents. Active in local communities, he also enjoyed fishing and was made an honorary chief by the Haida Nation.
