Michael Crowley-Milling (1917-2012), known as Michael Crowley Crowley-Milling from 1947, was an influential engineer known for his innovative work in accelerator design and large-scale computer control. He became a division head at CERN in 1977 and joined the CERN directorate in 1980. He was awarded the Glazebrook Medal and invited to deliver the Clifford Paterson Lecture by the Royal Society in 1982. Crowley-Milling is also recognized for his role in inventing the world's first computer touchscreens and was the elder brother of Sir Denis Crowley-Milling.
