Michael Christiansen, born on June 5, 1945, is a Danish jurist and former civil servant. He served as the chairman of the board for DR until 2019. Educated as a cand.jur. from the University of Copenhagen in 1970, he held various positions in the Danish government, including roles in the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence. From 1992 to 2008, he was the director of the Royal Danish Theatre. He has been involved with several boards since then, including Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects and the reopening of Jazzhus Montmartre in 2010.
