MF Siregar, also known as Mangombar Ferdinand Siregar, was a prominent Indonesian sports figure born on November 11, 1928. He served as the General Secretary of the Indonesian Badminton Association and held the same position at the National Sports Committee of Indonesia for nearly 15 years. Siregar played a key role in leading Indonesia to success in badminton, most notably securing two gold medals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He was instrumental in establishing the Southeast Asian Games Federation and promoted the motto of making sports accessible to all.
