Metod Tomac is a Slovenian horn player and educator born on September 23, 1968, in Koper. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in 1992 under Professor Jože Falout. He furthered his studies in Florence with Vinko Globokar. Since 1989, he has been a member of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and is a part of the brass quintet Slowind. Additionally, he teaches at KGBL in Ljubljana. In 2003, he and his colleagues from Slowind received the Prešeren Foundation Award.
