Mervi Anneli Karttunen, born on September 30, 1953, in Finland, is a Swedish sports leader and member of the Swedish Olympic Committee since 2009. She has served as one of the two vice-chairpersons of the Committee since 2015. Karttunen was elected to the board of Göteborgs Badmintonklubb in 2005 and became the chairperson of the Swedish Badminton Federation a year later. She resigned in September 2012 following financial issues. Karttunen moved to Sweden in 1979 and became involved in sports management as her sons started playing badminton.
