Melanie Johnston-Hollitt is an Australian astrophysicist and professor known for her contributions to radio astronomy. Born on September 8, 1974, she has been instrumental in the design and governance of major radio telescopes, including LOFAR, MWA, and SKA. She served as the director of the Murchison Widefield Array until December 2020. Currently, she is a professor at the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy and the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research. Additionally, she has been the director of the Curtin Institute for Data Science since August 2020.
