Melvin Alan 'Mel' Karmazin is an American executive born on August 24, 1943. He has held significant positions such as president of Infinity Broadcasting (now Audacy, Inc.) and president and CEO of CBS television. He was also the CEO of Sirius Radio from 2004 to 2012, leading the company until it rebranded to Sirius XM Radio after merging with XM. Karmazin announced his resignation in October 2012, effective February 1, 2013, after which John C. Malone succeeded him.
