Meire Pavão, born Antônia Maria Pavão, was a Brazilian popular music singer born on June 2, 1948, in Taubaté. She was known for her contributions to the music scene and was the sister of singer Albert Pavão. In 1964, she signed with Chantecler and released her debut album. In 1965, she won the TV Excelsior's Rainha do Twist trophy, and her record was played on American radio. She was seen as a successor to Celly Campello. Her life ended tragically at the age of 60 due to cancer.
