Meinte Oosterhout was a scholar associated with the Frisian Institute at the University of Groningen. He was the publisher of the Sneek Resolutions Books in 1960 and contributed to the name list published in 1964. Oosterhout served as the treasurer for the Douwe Kalma Foundation, was a board member of the Young Frisian Community, and chaired the Aldfaers heritage group in Groningen. His work was honored posthumously with the publication 'Us Wurk' in 1972.
