Mehmed Emîn Bozarslan is a Turkish writer of Kurdish origin, born on September 15, 1934, in Lice, Diyarbakır Province. He received a classical education in madrasas, and after becoming a mufti, he published his first book in 1960. His works often address Kurdish issues, advocating for the use of the Kurdish language in Turkey. Despite facing imprisonment due to his writing, including his translation of 'Mem û Zîn,' he continued to contribute to Kurdish literature. He was recognized as a political refugee in Uppsala, Sweden, in 1978.
