Megan Rohrer is an American activist born in 1980, known for her work in advocating for homeless and LGBTQ+ rights. She made history as the first openly transgender minister ordained in the Lutheran tradition. Rohrer served as bishop of the Sierra Pacific Synod in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America from 2021 until her resignation in June 2022, following allegations of racism within her clergy. In 2023, she was removed from the roster of the Sierra Pacific Synod, marking significant events in her ecclesiastical career.
