Max Krause (born April 20, 1909, in Darmstadt; died around February 18, 1944, near Winniza, Ukraine) was a German Arabist and historian of mathematics. He is recognized for his contributions to the fields of Arab studies and the history of mathematics. His work encompassed the exploration of Arabic texts and their significance in the development of mathematical concepts. Tragically, he met his untimely death during World War II.
